In a world dominated by “anybody can do it” out of the back of their truck or home, G&S entered the construction business seeking to push the bar by creating a quality product with professional services.
A licensed builder for 20+ years, John Steele began his career with Lowe’s before founding G&S in 1990. G&S found its niche providing supplies for the exterior side of the construction business – including roofing, siding, windows, gutters and other elements that go on the outside of buildings.
As the construction business began to flourish, the natural evolution was to provide these same services to homeowners.
Today, the company operates from a 45,000 square-foot warehouse, which includes a showroom. G&S projects include the replacement of roofs, windows, siding, as well as sunrooms, porch enclosures and room additions. In 2011, G&S added Foam-Lok spray foam insulation to their list of services.
The production team at G&S is also managed by a licensed builder. General Liability, worker’s compensation insurance and all licenses and permits are secured for every G&S project.
G&S may not be the lowest bid; but Steele realizes that remodeling a home is an important and expensive investment and that, in the end, quality workmanship, attention to detail and service ultimately will determine market value.
As Steele says: “We treat your home like it’s our home.”
